The computer game Minecraft has appealed to children in many ways, and now teachers are also finding ways to use the program in the classroom! This article discusses one teacher’s experience in creating a classroom lesson that was played out entirely on the program.
Boston researchers have been studying the way that babies think, and have discovered through clever experiments that babies have a good grasp of probabilities. Much of the research has been conducted at the Boston Children's Museum, FableVision's downstairs neighbor!
When FableVision's Taryn Johnson was at Hampshire College, she had the chance to work on an animated short film called The Incident at Tower 37. In the film, Tower 37 siphons every drop of water from a once-pristine lake, that is, until the station's steward makes a startling discovery. After making the film festival circuit over the past two years, winning a number of awards, the 3D-animated 10-minute film has been posted online for viewing.
