How did you hear about FableVision?
Hannah O’Neal was my teacher at MassArt! She told me about FableVision’s internship program!

How has working on the Art Team helped strengthen your skills and diversify your interests?
I’ve learned so much about how professionals use Adobe Animate. I’m also learning more about how to make interactive media.

Tell us more about your goals at the studio this summer! What do you hope to accomplish?
I hope to help make an awesome internship project that can strengthen my portfolio!

Troy has to choose between singing and basketball. What is your dramatic extracurricular dichotomy- and can you make it to both in one night?
I double majored for one semester in both animation and fashion design. I ended up just going with animation, so I guess I can’t make it to both in one night.

  • If you were in the High School Musical cast, who would you be and why?
I would probably be Kelsi. I was very shy and easily intimidated in high school.

  • Favorite website from your childhood? The Claire’s online catalog.

  • Favorite summertime movie? The Spongebob Movie (2004).

  • Beyoncé song of choice? “Crazy in Love.”

  • Name one person who inspires you: Walter Wick.

  • When’s the last time you did a cartwheel? Last summer.

  • Got any go-to musicals? Jim Henson’s The Labyrinth.

How did you hear about FableVision?
A couple of years ago one of my advisors, Julie Dobrow, invited Tufts alums to our Children and Mass Media class, and had them talk to us about their career paths. One of the alumni worked for FableVision, and I had the opportunity to learn about the company’s mission and projects! It matched a lot of my interests, so I decided to apply for an internship this summer!

How has working on the Marketing Team helped strengthen your skills and diversify your interests?
I am so grateful to be on such an amazing team where I am constantly learning and growing. I have had some experience in marketing before, but never an internship dedicated only to marketing. This has been such an amazing opportunity, because I have been able to learn about what goes on behind the scenes when creating content for followers.

Tell us more about your goals at the studio this summer! What do you hope to accomplish?
I hope to learn about the new ways that FableVision uses social media to engage with the public and what the company does to make followers feel part of the community. I am also looking forward to getting creative and having fun with the intern project.

Troy has to choose between singing and basketball. What is your dramatic extracurricular dichotomy—and can you make it to both in one night?
I love television, so it’d probably be trying to catch up on all my favorite shows while also juggling my other responsibilities. I do my best to try to get everything done, but it gets dangerous when there are a lot of episodes available of a show that I can binge, so I try my best to restrain myself.

  • If you were in the High School Musical cast, who would you be and why? I want to say Gabriella because we have the same name, but I think I am more of a Taylor McKessie because she is ambitious, loyal, and funny.

  • Favorite website from your childhood? Disney Channel and Stardoll.

  • Favorite summertime movie? Shrek 2. I have lost count of the number of times I have watched it. It’s iconic.

  • Beyoncé song of choice? This one is really difficult. I can’t choose just one, but I do have a favorite for every Beyonce era.

    • Early in fresh solo Beyoncé career: “Deja Vu.”

    • Right before she gave birth to Blue: “Dance For You.”

    • Lemonade Queen B: “Freedom.”

  • Name one person who inspires you: Ava DuVernay, because her artwork is used to give marginalized voices a platform and she fights for representation in film—in front of and behind the camera.

  • When’s the last time you did a cartwheel? Probably more than a decade ago, and I’m not sure if I’d consider it a cartwheel.

  • Got any go-to musicals? Hamilton. Lin-Manuel Miranda is a genius! Also Rent!

How did you hear about FableVision?
I actually found out through Twitter—I’d already been following Bob Flynn, FableVision’s Director of Art and Animation, for a long time, so when he posted about the FableVision internships, I was immediately curious and pretty quickly knew I had to try my best to get a position!

How has working on the Production Team helped strengthen your skills and diversify your interests?
Through working with the production team, I’ve learned just how much strategizing, organization, and teamwork goes into making sure a project stays on course and eventually reaches completion. Thanks to meetings with departments across the studio, I have a much better idea about the pipelines of each discipline and further strengthened my love of digital media in all of its forms!

Tell us more about your goals at the studio this summer! What do you hope to accomplish?
I’m hoping to learn more about the production process and how a full studio manages projects throughout all stages of development. I’m also excited to create something amazing with my fellow interns and learn from them in the process!

Troy has to choose between singing and basketball. What is your dramatic extracurricular dichotomy—and can you make it to both in one night?
If I was back in middle school, it definitely would have been a MathCounts tournament versus a Battle of the Books meet (I was very popular, if you can’t tell). High school would have been a marching band competition versus a soccer game. And nowadays, it would probably be a Game Jam versus a three-years-in-the-making arc-ending D&D session. So, obviously, I’d have to rope my party members into doing the Game Jam with me.

If you were in the High School Musical cast, who would you be and why?
I don’t think I can really deny being Gabriella after doing both musical theater and math competitions.

  • Favorite website from your childhood? GaiaOnline. My middle school years consisted of a lot of roleplaying (in private fishing game rooms for some reason) and saving up online currency for extremely tacky outfits.

  • Favorite summertime movie? I’m not sure if this really qualifies, but The Princess Bride is appropriate for every season!

  • Beyoncé song of choice? I’m basic and the Glee football team performing Single Ladies will forever be engraved in my mind.

  • Name one person who inspires you: Zaha Hadid—She applied her love for math and the arts into creating stunning sculpture-like architecture and became one of the most influential architects of the modern era.

  • When’s the last time you did a cartwheel? Absolutely never. I’m as flexible as a brick.

  • Got any go-to musicals? Wicked and Hamilton are obvious choices. I also really adore the Young Frankenstein musical, The Producers, and Spamalot.

How did you hear about FableVision?
Hannah O’Neal, Lead Animator at FableVision and art/animation internship coordinator, was one of the professors reviewing my work during my spring review at MassArt. She told me about the art internship at FableVision, and now I’m here!

How has working on the Art Team helped strengthen your skills and diversify your interests?
It has been amazing so far! I’ve only been here for a short time, but I’ve already learned so much. I have a much better understanding of Adobe Animate and how it is used in a professional studio. Regarding interests, Orsi, another intern here, has gotten me interested in early Hungarian cartoons and comics—the style is so cute!

Tell us more about your goals at the studio this summer! What do you hope to accomplish?
I’m hoping to come out of this internship with a better understanding of the animation methods used in a studio. I also hope to strengthen my storyboard skills and pick up any new skills relating to art and animation along the way. I’m also excited about the intern project, and look forward to making something awesome with the other interns!

Troy has to choose between singing and basketball. What is your dramatic extracurricular dichotomy—and can you make it to both in one night?
Trying to make it to an animation screening and another event at MassArt. There’s always so much going on! Usually I can manage both, but if they’re ever at the same time, I always go to the animation screenings.

  • If you were in the High School Musical cast, who would you be and why? Probably Zeke. I love baking!

  • Favorite website from your childhood? Webkinz.

  • Favorite summertime movie? Lilo & Stitch.

  • Beyoncé song of choice? “Countdown.”

  • Name one person who inspires you: Noelle Stevenson! I’ve been following her work since she first posted Nimona.

  • When’s the last time you did a cartwheel? Probably 12 years ago.

  • Got any go-to musicals? Wicked and Fun Home!

How did you hear about FableVision?
I wanted to stay in Boston over the summer, so I looked up game and animation studios in Boston and found FableVision’s website! I was excited to apply to be a production intern and learn more about the games and animation industries in general.

How has working on the Production Team helped strengthen your skills and diversify your interests?
After attending the producers’ meetings and learning about the production pipeline, I’m impressed by how the production team keeps everything organized with all the projects we have going on in the studio. I’ve also been noting the process of how games and animations are made when a lot of people work on the same project. I definitely plan to incorporate what I’ve learned into my workflow for future projects.

Tell us more about your goals at the studio this summer! What do you hope to accomplish?
I really hope to digest the production pipeline for both games and animations, and learn as many new skills as possible! I’m also excited about our intern project, which will be a valuable experience, because we’ll have the freedom to try out things we’ve never done before.

Troy has to choose between singing and basketball. What is your dramatic extracurricular dichotomy—and can you make it to both in one night?
I have a lot of homework as a Computer Science major, so I often have to choose between drawing or karate club.

  • If you were in the High School Musical cast, who would you be and why? I’d be Troy, but only because I was also on the basketball team in high school!

  • Favorite website from your childhood? Neopets or Cartoon Network.

  • Favorite summertime movie? Spirited Away.

  • Beyoncé song of choice? “Halo.”

  • Name one person who inspires you: Oda Eiichiro, the creator of One Piece. I love how he’s able to build a world that is so fantastical, but real at the same time. He incorporates real-life issues into such a long-running series using amazing art and writing.

  • When’s the last time you did a cartwheel? Never. I wish I could do one.

  • Got any go-to musicals? Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Position: Marketing Intern

How did you hear about FableVision?
I heard about FableVision in my sophomore year of college when my professor, Julie Dobrow, invited two of her former students who worked at the studio to talk to us about their work. After hearing about FableVision’s mission, I knew immediately that I wanted to apply for an internship, especially when I glanced through the portfolio page and saw essentially an exact intersection of my studies. After getting in touch with Sarah Ditkoff and Monica Chen, I was lucky enough to get a position. It’s a dream come true!

“We’re all in this together!” How has working on the Marketing Team helped strengthen your skills and diversify your interests?
I’ve loved learning more about marketing and strategy! It’s taught me to pay closer attention to the planning and teamwork that underpins the brands and public figures I follow, which I find myself doing all the time now. In terms of interests—I ordered Animal Crossing for Nintendo DS during my first week here (after seeing Allie Caton’s Tom Nook plush), and since many people on the marketing team are avid journalers, I was inspired to expand my pen supply!

Tell us more about your goals at the studio this summer! What do you hope to accomplish?
I’m looking forward to getting the hang of using the FableVision voice in the copy and social media content that I create, and also gaining a better understanding of the studio’s marketing principles. I’m also excited about the intern project, which is shaping up to be pretty cool!

Troy has to choose between singing and basketball. What is your dramatic extracurricular dichotomy- and can you make it to both in one night?
Probably an evening film shoot and my best friend’s orchestra recital. I have tried numerous times, but no—I can’t make it to both! Sorry Mary Kate!

  • If you were in the High School Musical cast, who would you be and why? Ms. Darbus, because she’s the drama queen I aspire to be.

  • Favorite website from your childhood? Neopets or Poptropica.

  • Favorite summertime movie? Dirty Dancing.

  • Beyoncé song of choice? “Irreplaceable.” Always. Forever. Period.

  • Name one person who inspires you: Olivia Wilde, who recently made her feature film directorial debut and knocked it out of the park!

  • When’s the last time you did a cartwheel? Mardi Gras at Universal Studios circa 2015, FTB (For The Beads).

  • Got any go-to musicals? Grease, specifically because of “Beauty School Dropout!”

Does planning summer activities with your family feel like a treasure hunt without the treasure? Check out the spring 2019 intern project, Beantown Unfurled, which is guaranteed to keep even the pickiest of kids entertained! Beantown Unfurled is an interactive map that provides educational opportunities for the whole family. With this map, parents and kids alike can check out the sights they want to see, and immediately find key information about ticket prices, daily hours, and more. No matter what interests your child—science, history, or anything in between—you will find something they like on Beantown Unfurled. Click the link below to start planning your “adventures for the whole family, off the bean-ten path!”

In early February, the spring interns brainstormed what kind of project we wanted to create during our time here. We asked ourselves a few crucial questions to kickstart the creative process: What do we think people need to know? What would be fun and educational for kids? What would make our project stand out from all the great ones that came before?

We decided on an interactive map that highlights kid-friendly, educational museums and activities that families can visit during day trips to Boston! Each downtown “Unfurled” location meets three requirements: it is educational, interesting for young children, and hands-on (meaning the kids can play with the exhibits and installations during their visit).

The Beantown Unfurled team is:

  • Mackenzie Bright, Marketing Intern

  • Eileen Moynihan, Marketing Intern

  • Beatrice Mutasah, Art/Animation Intern

  • Amber Orozco, Art/Animation Intern

  • Emma Paquette, Production Intern

You can learn more about this semester’s interns in our last InternVision post, “Meet the MiniVisionaries: Spring 2019 Interns.” And of course, big thanks to our supervisors, Monica Chen, Michael Fogarasi, Sarah Ditkoff, and Hannah O’Neal for their guidance and support.

Let Boston “unfurl” before you — happy exploring! Click here to visit the map and plan your next adventure!

Meet the MiniVisionaries: Spring 2019 Interns

us+for+blog.jpg

The Spring 2019 FableVision interns have arrived and are already working together to knock their projects out of the park! Boasting a stellar roster stacked with five key players, the 2019 FableVision “MiniVisionaries” team is ready to go! Come and meet the players: five talented ladies from the Boston area who face challenges head on and are excited to bring their expert skills to the game.

Mackenzie Bright

Education (School, Major) : Tufts University, English with a minor in Film and Media Studies
Hometown: Duxbury, MA
Position: Marketing Intern

How did you become a MiniVisionary? What brought you to the team?
I heard about FableVision through one of my professors, Julie Dobrow, who teaches a Children and Mass Media class. She often talked about Tufts alums who had internships at FableVision before, and they always loved them. I looked into FableVision, loved their work and general atmosphere, and decided to apply for a spring marketing internship. The rest is history!

How have you sharpened your skills since joining Team FableVision?
I have learned a lot about how to craft the FableVision “voice” in blogs and social media posts! It was tricky at first, but I’ve really started to get the hang of it. I’ve also learned how to write case studies, which are synopses of projects that FableVision has done.

What are you most excited about for your semester at FableVision?
I am just so incredibly excited to have the opportunity to intern at a place that loves children’s media as much as FableVision does!! The true passion shows in everything they do, and you can’t ask to work on a better team.

You’re a graduating senior! What are your post-grad plans?
Right now I’m applying for jobs anywhere and everywhere in the marketing, editing, or writing sphere. Anywhere that I can use my love for books, media, marketing, and writing!

Speed Round

  • Favorite childhood movie or TV show: The Emperor’s New Groove.

  • Favorite food: Pasta.

  • Dream job? I would love to write my own books!

  • Fritos or Doritos? Doritos!

  • Three things you would bring on a desert island? A box of Cheez-Its, a P. G. Wodehouse book, and a DVD set of Parks and Recreation.

  • Favorite female visionary? Amy Poehler.

Eileen Moynihan

Education (School, Major): Simmons University, Public Relations/Marketing Communications
Hometown: Northborough, MA
Position: Marketing Intern
Portfolio link: eileenmoynihan.com

How did you become a MiniVisionary? What brought you to the team?
Paul Reynolds and Andrea Calvin came to one of my classes in September to give a presentation about FableVision. They talked about the work done in the studio and The Reynolds Center, and I was pretty blown away. I desperately wanted to work here, so I connected with Paul and Andrea after their presentation and got in contact with Sarah Ditkoff, the Communications Director. A few months later, I sent Sarah Ditkoff my resumé, interviewed, and now I’m here!

How have you sharpened your skills since joining Team FableVision?
Before coming to FableVision, I didn’t know how complicated it can be to draft tweets. I hadn’t used Twitter in years, so I forgot how difficult it is to get a point across in 280 characters. So much information to fit in one small box! I think I’ve (almost) mastered the art of tweeting. Or at least I’m getting better at it.

What are you most excited about for your semester at FableVision?
I love our intern project. We’re so lucky to have such a talented bunch of interns working on this project! I can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve come up with.

You’re a graduating senior! What are your post-grad plans?
I’m planning to stay in Boston and work in the city. While it’s a little scary to graduate, I’m excited to start the next phase of my life. I’ve always liked working, so I think I’ll adjust pretty well to a full-time job. Once I get one!

Speed Round

  • Favorite childhood movie or TV show: Arthur.

  • Favorite food: Any and all things potato.

  • Dream job? Best-selling author. With a secret pen name so I can live in anonymity.

  • Fritos or Doritos? Fritos. Did you know they only have 3 ingredients?

  • Three things you would bring on a desert island? A LifeStraw, a Costco-sized jar of Nutella, and a tent.

  • Favorite female visionary? Ruth Wakefield, the inventor of the chocolate chip cookie.

Beatrice Mutasah

Education (School, Major): Lesley University, Animation with minors in Illustration and Sociology
Hometown: Montclair, NJ
Position: Art Intern
Portfolio link: bmutasah.wixsite.com/portfolio

How did you become a MiniVisionary? What brought you to the team?
When I started attending Lesley University, numerous professors recommended that I intern at FableVision. I ended up being drawn to the friendly environment and support that the company provides for interns.

How have you sharpened your skills since joining Team FableVision?
I really enjoyed learning ActionScript 3.0. Initially, there was a lot of problem-solving, but now I’m eager to delve even further and learn about other programming languages.

What are you most excited about for your semester at FableVision?
I think I’m going to have a great time working with the other interns and learning how to animate using Adobe Flash.

You’re a graduating senior! What are your post-grad plans?
I am a very ambitious person. First, I hope to do some freelance art. If possible I would also love to do artwork that can help people. Second, I would look into going into grad school! Although, I still want to work hard to achieve my main goals, working at a company and developing concept art and character designs.

Speed Round

  • Favorite childhood movie or TV show: Danny Phantom.

  • Favorite food: Definitely a tuna sandwich.

  • Dream job? Working at Blizzard or Pixar on concept art or character art!

  • Fritos or Doritos? I’m not really much of a chip person, but I’d go for Fritos.

  • Three things you would bring on a desert island? A dog, a journal, and a first-aid kit.

  • Favorite female visionary? Maya Angelou! I consider her to be a brilliant poet and activist.

Amber Orozco

Education (School, Major): Montserrat College of Art, Animation
Hometown: Lynn, MA
Position: Art Intern
Portfolio link: amberorozco.art

How did you become a MiniVisionary? What brought you to the team?
I wanted to learn more about the programs I was using and what techniques studios use when creating animations.

How have you sharpened your skills since joining Team FableVision?
I’ve learned how to work much faster! Before joining, I was working at maybe a medium rate with animation. But now I’ve become more comfortable with programs.

What are you most excited about for your semester at FableVision?
Being able to learn the ropes of a studio with other interns.

You’re a graduating senior! What are your post-grad plans?
I plan on applying to more studios and continuing my animation career.

Speed Round

  • Favorite childhood movie or TV show: Monsters, Inc.

  • Favorite food: Steak tacos.

  • Dream job? Visual development artist.

  • Fritos or Doritos? Doritos.

  • Three things you would bring on a desert island? A water bottle, a knife, and ice cream.

  • Favorite female visionary? Emma Watson.

Emma7+-+Copy.jpg

Emma Paquette

Education (School, Major): Northeastern University, Communication Studies with minors in Game Design and English Writing
Hometown: McLean, VA
Position: Production Intern
Portfolio link: emmapaquette.com

How did you become a MiniVisionary? What brought you to the team?
I only had three required classes left for my final semester of college (usually I take four). I was looking for a way to fill up that time with something productive and, ideally, fun when I stumbled on the FableVision internship. It seemed like it could fit those requirements perfectly and, so far, it has!

How have you sharpened your skills since joining Team FableVision?
I definitely feel like I have a better idea of everything that goes into producing a project. I’ve been learning a lot through observing and participating in meetings and helping out with other tasks.

What are you most excited about for your semester at FableVision?
When I first started, I was really excited to work on a variety of projects and see how they differed from each other. It’s honestly amazing how many projects are going on at one time in the studio—it’s hard to even keep track of them all.

You’re a graduating senior! What are your post-grad plans?
I’m visiting Japan for two weeks after graduation with my sister and her boyfriend. It’ll be my first trip overseas where I feel like I’m really getting to set the agenda, so I’m very excited for it. After that, I’m hoping to find a job.

Speed Round

  • Favorite childhood movie or TV show: Gilmore Girls.

  • Favorite food: Fajitas.

  • Dream job? Something where I feel like I’m doing good work.

  • Fritos or Doritos? Doritos.

  • Three things you would bring on a desert island? A blanket, a pillow, and a supply of music.

  • Favorite female visionary? Listen, it might be cheesy, but it’s my mom.

FableVision's Seasonal Survival Guide: December

December SSG.png

We’ve almost made it! We’re in the home stretch of 2018, the holidays are fast approaching, and the New Year is almost upon us. We know the last month of the year always goes by in a flurry, and it can be easy to let the days escape you, but have no fear! December’s guide will revamp your motivation, and help you soak in the last days of 2018.

Activities

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know everyone’s New Year’s Resolution is to be more active, but why not start now?!  We have just the activities to get you moving this holiday season.

Get Active: Snow Excuses

  • Grab your trusty skates or rent a pair, and hit the ice (no, not literally, it may be slippery -- so try not to fall!) There’s something special about skating in the crisp night air under the stars, but if swimming is a more realistic option where you’re from, check out Rink Finder to find the closest indoor arena to you. Skating can be a daunting task to those who are not well acquainted with the sport, find adult skating classes near you!

  • If you’re not afraid of the cold and you live in the right climate, snowshoeing is an amazing winter outdoor activity. Buy a pair of snowshoes (or rent them from your local rec center) and go on an adventure! Great photo-ops along the way too! Need more info before taking the plunge? Check out this first-timer’s guide.

Walk/Drive Around to See the Lights: All Light Long

  • Holiday lights are right up there with fall foliage for the best views of the year. If your neighbors love to go all out, consider taking an evening stroll to see the festive decor. Nowhere worth gawking at nearby? Take a drive to the town center or another neighborhood with more to take in. The twinkly lights and beautiful displays are sure to get you in a cheery mood!

Crafts

Whether you're looking for a fun and easy decoration or a beautiful homemade gift, we’ve got you covered.

Paper Snowflakes

Right Click to Download FableVision’s Snowflake Template

Right Click to Download FableVision’s Snowflake Template

"To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake it is necessary to stand out in the cold."

The age-old classic doesn’t have to be so simple! Paper snowflakes can be beautiful, intricate designs that will spruce up any dorm room or party space! Check out these templates for a more mature version of a childhood favorite. After they’re cut out, leave them blank for a classic version, or add glitter and decoration.

Or, add a New Years spin to your snowflakes and write some early resolutions to keep you motivated throughout this last month of 2018 and get you excited for the year to come. It’s a snow-brainer!

Cinnamon Stick Candle

  • This candle makes a great homemade gift for a loved one (or for yourself. Plus, it’ll make your house smell amazing). All you need is a pillar candle, a glue gun and glue sticks, some cinnamon sticks, and an optional ribbon to finish it off. Anyone can do it! Here’s how:

  1. Get a candle and some cinnamon sticks from your local grocery or gift store. Think about how far up you want the cinnamon sticks to reach when deciding on a candle.

  2. Plug in your glue gun to get it ready to go! If doing this with children, make sure there is adult supervision! The glue guns can get extremely hot.

  3. Cut the cinnamon sticks to your desired height. Put them up against your candle to see if you prefer them to go all the way up , ¾ the way up, or half way up. All are great options that are sure to delight!

  4. Put a thin line of glue on each cinnamon stick and adhere them to the candle.

  5. (Optional) Grab some twine, a ribbon, or some raffia to tie around your candle creation.

  6. Before burning, place on a coaster or dish under your candle to ensure there will be no messes. Now you have a beautiful centerpiece or gift, perfect for all occasions!

Recipe

Oh no! You got invited to a last minute holiday party but don’t want to show up empty handed? Store bought cookies can’t always cut it. Have no fear, we have a personal favorite recipe from Jen’s friends, the Stark family, that is sure to be a crowd favorite. Cracker candy is a holiday treat that everyone will love, with it’s chewy texture and sweet and salty flavor combo! And the best part, it only takes 20 minutes to make and about an hour to cool!

INGREDIENTS:

IMG_2480.JPG
  • 1 ½ sleeves of saltine crackers

  • 2 ½ sticks of salted butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 bag dark chocolate chips

  • Optional: Sea salt, toffee pieces, crushed candy canes, crushed oreos

IMG_2510.JPG
IMG_2527.JPG

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Line a ridged pan with parchment paper and preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit

  • Place crackers flat on pan covering it entirely

  • Melt ½ stick of butter in a pan and pour over crackers

  • Melt the remaining 2 sticks of butter in a pan on medium/low and stir in 1 cup brown sugar. Continue stirring over heat until  bubbly

  • Remove from heat and add condensed milk, stir until well combined and pour over crackers.

  • Put in the oven for 8 minutes, until bubbly but not burnt

  • Remove the tray and allow to cool for a few minutes before sprinkling chocolate chips on top.  Once melted slightly, spread chocolate chips over the entire tray. Add any desired toppings (we chose toffee pieces and sea salt, but the cracker candy is completely delicious as is!)

  • Allow to cool completely, then cut into pieces for serving. Enjoy!

Movies

Snow day has you stuck inside? We have the perfect movies to keep you cheery while you wait out the storm!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas .jpg

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

  • “It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags,” because it came on Netflix. The love and joy surrounding the holiday season is enough to make anyone’s heart swell (or grow three sizes…) and what better way to enjoy the last month of 2018 than with a classic movie filled with laughs, that reminds you that the true meaning of the holidays doesn’t come from the store. Now with three options of which version you want to watch, the 1966 animated original, the 2000 live action, or the newest version, which came out just a month ago, there’s a Grinch movie for any movie watcher!

Balto.jpg

Balto

  • In a heroic tale based on a true story, Balto, a Siberian husky-wolf hybrid, leads his team of dogs through the Iditarod trail during an alaskan blizzard. Balto braves the storm and races time because his town of Nome experiences a health epidemic and medicine is needed as soon as possible.
