Here at FableVision we believe that creativity and learning have no end. We constantly try to learn and expose ourselves to new things and incorporate the newly acquired knowledge and concepts into our work.
Last week, our art team decided to step away from the computers and put pencil to paper and our imaginations to the test. We experimented with a Surrealist art form commonly known as the Exquisite Corpse or Rotating Corpse. This technique is a method by which each artist adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see the end of what the previous person contributed.
Each artist drew on a sheet of paper, folded it to conceal part of the drawing, and then passed it to the next artist for a further contribution.
We found that collaborating with each other’s styles gives you inspiration in your own work and lets you see things in a different light. The pieces created during this activity helped us experiment with character design and be more creative. Check out some of the crazy creations we came up with!
