What are the lessons John F. Kennedy can teach us today?
Client: John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum
“Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.” This powerful quote was delivered by John F. Kennedy (JFK) in 1961 and still holds relevance today. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, dedicated to preserving the memory of the thirty-fifth president and to all those who seek a new and better world through the art of politics, worked with FableVision to create a multipurpose video for their museum, website, and social media channels.
Framed around the museum’s five pillars of JFK’s presidency (Inclusion, Science and Innovation, Peace and Diplomacy, Public Service, and Civil Rights), this video outlines JFK’s lasting legacy and inspires kids and teens to think about public service through echoing JFK’s evergreen call to action. Viewers are encouraged to consider the impact of his actions and how they can apply a similar mindset to make the world a better place.
FableVision displayed primary sources through a collage approach featuring hand-drawn elements, adding pops of color around historical black-and-white photos, and using motion graphics to direct attention to distinct elements. Jazzy music contemporary to the time period plays in the background supported by commanding yet approachable voice-over.
