Adelaide McKeon
Hometown: Jupiter, FL
School and Major: Tufts University, Clinical Psychology & Studio Art
Position at FableVision: Production Intern
What does a day in the studio look like for you?: My day normally starts with a studio meeting followed by a one on one check-in with my amazing manager Schuyler Fox. Then I get the day started working on our intern project! I make sure everyone knows our daily and weekly goals before working on the content of our game. That involves a lot of research, writing, and back-and-forth feedback to land on a final script. Then I attend a presentation from FableVision’s Intern Lecture Series, where a member of FableVision talks to us about different departments and what their role is. This is always one of my favorite parts of the day! Next everyone has lunch out on the terrace.
After lunch, I attend a mix of internal and external meetings for the client projects I’m shadowing. I love that I’m able to contribute to so many different projects, and see how FableVision adapts based on a client’s goals. I spend the rest of the afternoon helping production assistants with tasks like playtesting. The other interns and I end the day at the GASHA GO! claw machine! We’re still after the elusive “green one.”
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned since starting at FableVision?: I learned a ton about game design and how different stages of the production pipeline interact. Since we only had 12 weeks to work on our intern project, it was really important to figure out the most efficient order to prioritize and finish tasks so the developer could implement them. I didn’t know how long the actual coding process takes even for small features, so that’s definitely something I learned over the course of our project.
Fun Fact: I am a fiend for any type of boba!
Ava Robertson
Hometown: Milton, MA
School and Major: Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Animation
Position at FableVision: Art Intern
What does a day in the studio look like for you?: I usually start with morning meetings like the artist check-in. The artists meet to talk about the week and the art interns get to check in with our supervisor Christina Kelly who answers all our questions! Then I get to work on the intern project. I have either been drawing UX/UI designs for our game or working on animations. It was a lot of fun to work on all the different parts of the game and see everything we had to create. I had never done UI designs before, but I really enjoyed designing them! I also loved being able to work in a team and give and receive feedback so easily. Aside from the intern project, I also get to sit in on different meetings for projects going on at FableVision or hear about different roles within the studio at Intern Lectures. Each intern lecture gives me insight into different jobs at FableVision. Every day is fulfilling, and I always learn a lot!
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned since starting at FableVision?: I was really interested in learning all the details that go into producing a game, especially since I focus more on the art side of things. It was great to get to work with a team and see everyone’s role.
Fun Fact: I am fluent in French!
Elliot Riseman
Hometown: Irvington, NY
School and Major: Tufts University, Film and Media Studies & Human Factors Psychology
Position at FableVision: Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (G.L.A.M.) Intern
What does a day in the studio look like for you?: My day typically starts with a check-in with my wonderfully whimsical supervisor, Kellian Adams Pletcher, where we talk about new G.L.A.M. projects. These can range from paper-based games to entire physical-digital immersive experiences. What I love most about G.L.A.M. is the range of projects I get to work on. I also love that so much of my work involves learning. I’ve spent days researching museums and arts programs, reading about new games, and creating my own videos to promote G.L.A.M. projects (one of them was featured at the 2026 GEE Learning Game Awards!) I also usually attend external check-ins with the museums and organizations G.L.A.M. partners with, and have been fortunate enough to meet people from MoMA, the MET, and Museum Haus Konstruktiv in Switzerland. A lot of my work also involves organizing information for games and other projects into spreadsheets and summaries.
In addition to G.L.A.M., I’m building a game with my intern cohort! Each week we attend a lecture from an amazingly talented FableVision staff member and share our progress. We also have lunch together every day, usually on the balcony. Lunch and playing the office claw machine with the other interns are probably my favorite parts of the day.
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned since starting at FableVision?: I’ve had a lot more practice with sound design from the intern project. It’s been really fun playing around with different effects to create original character voices, especially Gray Seal (Arr arr arrrr arrr).
Fun Fact: I perform in the nation’s only collegiate mime troupe.
Kahlan Maguire
Hometown: Gloucester, MA
School and Major: Rhode Island School of Design, Illustration
Position at FableVision: Art Intern
What does a day in the studio look like for you?: My day usually begins with our artist meeting, where I’ve been able to see how work is distributed throughout the FableVision art team. After that, we have a check-in with our amazing supervisor, Christina Kelly, to catch her up on our plans for the day. Once our morning meeting(s) wrap up, I usually get right into working on our game! I focus on whatever is needed for that day, switching priorities depending on the urgency. In the afternoons, the art interns attend project check-ins to see the weekly behind-the-scenes of studio project development. As we near the end of the day, we usually attend an intern lecture. We learn the different roles and career paths of FableVision employees. I always leave the studio having done or learned something new.
As an art intern, I’ve been focused on background art, character design/animation, and game asset design. As I go, I work closely with our developer and producer to keep track of what needs to be done. Despite being “just” an art intern, I’ve loved filling in random gaps wherever they open up. This project has had me writing, voice acting, researching, photographing, and doing educational outreach!
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned since starting at FableVision? I loved learning how to break down an art style and replicate it. At the start of production, our art team created a robust moodboard. We really focused on creating a consistent look for the game, and it absolutely paid off! I am very proud of learning this new skill!
Fun Fact: During this internship, I learned that I am hypermobile (thank you, Brina!) and had a fun time all summer testing everyone in my family to see who I inherited it from.
Tess Aho
Hometown: Boston, MA
School and Major: Rhode Island School of Design, Illustration with a Concentration in Literary Arts and Studies
Position at FableVision: Art Intern
What does a day in the studio look like for you?: The day typically starts with an artist check-in where the FableVision art team reviews their ongoing projects. The art interns get to hear updates on what all of the FableVision artists are doing! After meetings, all of the interns get together to work on our project. We plan what we need to get done that day and assign tasks. As an art intern, I have been able to try out a ton of different things! Alongside character and background art, I have designed buttons, screen layouts, and item assets. All of these things have required a ton of research— from hunting down accurate reference images to analyzing UI from other games to see what might work for us. One important aspect of the process has been figuring out how to represent objects and characters in a new art style that matches the tone of our game. It has been so cool to see how I can adapt and stylize to adhere to a specific look that all of us love!
While we work, the art interns have regular check-ins with our incredible supervisor, Christina Kelly. We show her our progress and ask questions, and she provides vital feedback and advice on how to move forward. Throughout the day, we also attend meetings for FableVision projects and have intern lectures where different staff tell us about their roles at the company and the production pipeline from their point of view!
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned since starting at FableVision?: It has been incredible to learn about the professional process of production! Employee lectures from all departments, from programming to sound design to marketing, have really opened my eyes to all of the different aspects of creating games and animation. Having the opportunity to experience production firsthand through our intern project has also really solidified my newfound understanding of the process!
Fun Fact: I love looking for constellations, my favorite one to find is Cassiopeia! (Look for a big W in the sky)
Amanda Keith
Hometown: Brookfield, CT
School and Major: Clark University, Interactive Media & Design
Position at FableVision: Development Intern
What does a day in the studio look like for you?: I generally start the day attending any meetings I have as well as making a list of implementations for the day. After that I start right away developing the project. Working with three artists, I usually spend a good chunk of my day inserting and testing the art for the game on top of the mechanics I've built.
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned since starting at FableVision?: Learning how to collaborate with so many other talented people to create a finished project. There's a lot of back and forth between everyone on the team, and as someone who typically worked on individual projects it's very special.
Fun Fact: I am a twin!
