FableVision's special Boston Book Festival edition Stories that Move Open House greeted creative minds and book lovers from all over Boston. The evening was co-hosted with storytelling partners United Way, Reading Is Fundamental, and the National Writing Project. Media stations around the studio highlighted some of FableVision's favorite projects, including Our Tree, and interactive eBook apps "Water Wonders" and "Our Book by Us!"

FableVision joined Reading Is Fundamental and the National Writing Project on October 19 at the Boston Book Festival on Copley Square with a robot (book bot) named Robie. FableVisionaries and booth staffers helped with science experiments, book giveaways, and more! Highlighted in the booth were FableVision-developed eBook apps “Water Wonders” and “Our Book by Us!” Booth visitors could play with the apps, take a RIF book bag, draw, participate in experiments, and talk about how much they loved books! FableVision founder Peter H. Reynolds signed books most of the day.

Our BBF Unbound workshop with United Way, entitled “Bring your Nonprofit’s Story to Life” also took place on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Boston Book Festival! Erin Sunderland of United Way and Paul and Peter H. Reynolds of FableVision hosted a session that helped teach organizations, schools, and nonprofits how to use the power of storytelling to further and accelerate its mission by reaching people in a more emotionally engaging and compelling way. You can read more about the session here.
