“Say Something” Book Trailer and Animation

In his book Say Something, published by Scholastic, FableVision founder and New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds celebrates the power of speaking from the heart, and being brave enough to speak out. FableVision created a 30-second animated trailer for promotional purposes, as well as a full-length animation that breathes life into the beautiful message and art from the book. Under Reynolds’ direction, FableVision created original scripts, storyboards, and animation that leveraged the artwork from the book for a consistent visual experience from book to screen. Using the uplifting words and actions of the characters as inspiration, the trailer and full-length animated film follow them striving to make a positive difference in the world around them. Like the book, the animation is both playful and endearingly sensitive–holding a positive and expressive space for kids to share their voices.
