Bajillions
Client: University of Denver Marsico Institute of Early Learning
Enter Kiki the Koala’s mathematical jungle in “Bajillions!” Early learners explore vibrant natural scenes with bubbly Kiki and her animal friends as they practice numbers, shapes, and measurements.
The math games are based on research from leading early childhood math learning experts Dr. Douglas H. Clements and Dr. Julie Sarama from the University of Denver Marsico Institute of Learning. Together with FableVision Studios, Bajillions was developed to provide preschools with a new, proven approach to learning math trajectories. The subjects within “Bajillions” are broken into color-coded domains that house 17 game engines adapted to different topics based on their trajectory level and game level. Some of the topics include Composing 3D Shapes, Adding/Subtracting, Area, and Fractions. There are over 40 trajectory levels, which are the learning goals that students reach in each level, and over 50 game levels, which reflect what the game engine is and how it relates to the trajectory level.
On the “Bajillions” website and mobile app, there is a dashboard for teachers to assign games to their students. The dashboard also provides data to teachers, so they can track their students’ progress and view multiple students' progress at the same time.
This website and mobile app are available in both English and Spanish. The property is featured on FableVision Games.
