The Carroll School is an independent day school for students grades 1-9 that specializes in supporting students with language-based learning differences, FableVision Studios and FableVision founder and New York Times bestselling author/illustrator Peter H. Reynolds partnered with the Carroll School to create a heartwarming video that positively represents learning differences for their website. The animation brings to life the unique strengths that come with dyslexia, highlighting creativity and problem solving skills that often go unrecognized in traditional classrooms. Rooted in authentic student experiences, the script was shaped by conversations with 7th and 8th graders at the Carroll School.
My Amazing Brain empowers students and their families who are navigating a dyslexia diagnosis and celebrates great minds who think differently. Follow the inspiring story of a young girl navigating life with dyslexia through her early struggles in school, receiving life-changing support from teachers and family, and gaining confidence in her skillset. Through her development, she learns that dyslexia is not a limitation, but rather a gateway to extraordinary possibilities. My Amazing Brain emphasizes the importance of community in making learning differences easier to navigate, shifts perspectives of dyslexia, and celebrates the resilience of the dyslexic mind.
