During his keynote at Educators@Macworld in San Francisco on January 25th, Peter H. Reynolds announced the early summer release of acclaimed animation application Animation-ish for the iPad! In addition to the iPad app release, FableVision and Toon Boom Animation will be releasing Animation-ish 2.0 for Mac and PC, which will enhancements based on feedback from Animation-ish fans around the world. Animation 1.0 for Mac and PC has already garnered major industry awards, including the Children's Technology Review Editor's Choice Award, Parents' Choice Silver Honor Award, and the National Parenting Publication Awards' Gold Award.
MTV Geek had this to say about the announcement: "Animation-ish is a simple program designed for people of all ages who want to try their hand at digital animation (with) a streamlined work environment and toolset in an attempt to get users animating in minutes. An iPad version... is a great move as the platform already provides a drawing surface (the touchscreen) and will allow users to create animated doodles on the go.
