Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathy Patient Videos

Client: Center for Info & Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP)

Part of the Patient Voices project, the four-minute video features patients' voices describing their journey from pre-diagnosis, their experience with the disease and its impact, and hopes for future research and treatment. The Center for Info & Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRIP) reached out to FableVision to create an informative and personable video highlighting the experiences of people living with Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathy (IIM). The driving force behind the video’s messaging was the humanization of patients in the clinical trial experience. The video aims to inspire continued research for the treatment and cure of IIM and to be a source of motivation for healthcare practitioners and researchers studying IIM by demonstrating the positive impact of research work on patients’ lives.

CISCRP conducted interviews with current IIM treatment patients to hear and understand their firsthand experiences living with IIM and how research has impacted them. The video’s content was grounded in the content provided from the patient interviews and additional medical information provided by CISCRP. FableVision used outtakes from patient interviews and information provided by CISCRP on the clinical trial process and disease treatment to create a script for the video.
