Paws to Prevent: Be BiteSmart

Client: CENTER FOR CANINE BEHAVIOR STUDIES

We talk to our dogs all the time, but do you know they communicate with us too? Meet Alex and his best furry friend, Charlie! Charlie the dog uses physical cues and body language to communicate to his humans when he’s feeling uncomfortable, anxious, or just needs some space.

Paws to Prevent: Be BiteSmart, was created in partnership with the Center for Canine Behavior Studies (CCBS), a non-profit focused on creating educational programming designed to protect children from dog bites by teaching them to better understand their canine companions. Over 31,000 children aged 5-9 visit an ER annually for dog bite treatment. As a preventative measure, the video is aimed towards children aged 3-5-years-old, an age group at high risk for dog bites, and their parents. CCBS provided the educational learning goals, and expertise in animal behavior. Through playful catchy tunes, and a vibrant design, the animation educates kids of potentially dangerous animal behaviors without invoking fear.
