FableVision is extremely fortunate to have John Lechner on board. He is an animator, designer, programmer, puppeteer and storyteller. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, he has worked in publishing and advertising, as well as educational technology. John spent three years as a professional puppeteer, writing, designing and performing original puppet shows for children.
As Art Director, John has been a contributor to countless FableVision projects, including five interactive exhibits for the W5 museum in Belfast, Ireland. He also helped create a series of animated broadcast ID spots for PBS, as well as animated bumpers for the PBS children's television show ZOOM.
John has designed or programmed activities for various PBS Web sites including Zoom, Dragon Tales, Arthur, and Clifford the Big Red Dog, as well as original interactive games for the FableVision Web site. He has also pioneered development of FableVision's new forays into interactive storytelling over the Internet, including FVTV and TeleFables.
John is also a children's author and illustrator, whose first picture book A Froggy Fable was published by Candlewick Press in 2005. His second book, Sticky Burr: Adventures in Burrwood Forest, was published by Candlewick Press last year. To learn more about John, visit his own Web site.
