Welcome, new people!

Sarah Ditkoff, Marketing Coordinator

From a very early age my favorite thing was being told a wonderful story. After growing up in suburban New Hampshire, I went to three different colleges for my undergrad: one in Vermont, one in California, and one in New York. I graduated from Purchase College in 2009 with my BA in Creative Writing with a concentration in poetry. I returned to New England in 2009 to get my MA in Publishing and Writing from Emerson College. I’ve worked in the past for the Boston Book Festival, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the Salem Literary Festival, and the author Brunonia Barry. I really like to give book recommendations and poke around cooking blogs. What I love most about FableVision are the stories we help others tell, and the unique way that we tell them.

Bissonnette, Samantha

Samantha Bissonnette, Marketing Intern

Greetings FableVision blogger readers! My name is Samantha Bissonnette and I am an enthusiastic Intern for the Marketing Department! I am from Bridgewater, Massachusetts and I am a senior at Tufts University, where I double major in Art History and Child Development, as well as minor in Communications and Media Studies. For my senior project, I am creating a media literacy program for first and second graders to help them better understand the effects of advertising. For fun, I enjoy running for the Tufts track and field team, taking pictures, traveling, and playing tag with my favorite niece and nephew. I can be reached at samantha.j.bissonnette@gmail.com.

Thompson, Holly

Holly Thompson, Art Intern

My name is Holly Thompson and currently an Art Intern here at FableVision.I blame being born and raised in a rural part of Maryland for my creative nature and quirkiness. Having been forced to play outside until dark transformed an imagination beyond control filled with dinosaurs, robots, and crazy characters at a young age. To fuel my artistic passion, I received a BA in Art with a concentration in graphic design and art history in 2003, and quickly started working with kids.

Getting further away from the creative realm over the years, I enrolled in animation classes while working at The New England Institute of Art in Brookline, MA. What started as a hobby is now slowly becoming a graduation reality; I will graduate with a BS in Media Arts and Animation in March 2013. 2D animation is my passion at heart but I have fallen in love with the science and mechanics of the 3D world. I don’t know which one to choose! When I’m not in front of the computer you can usually find me on the backside of a mountain hiking, snowboarding, or playing lacrosse.

My current work can be seen at www.stripedthumb.blogspot.com

Ferrari, Jillian

Jillian Ferrari, Marketing and Office Management Intern

My name is Jillian Ferrari, and I’m thrilled to be joining FableVision as an intern with the Marketing and Office Management team! Growing up in Franklin, Massachusetts (home of America’s first public library), I always had a book in hand. My love for storytelling flourished, and now I am studying English at Northeastern University. When I’m not reading, I enjoy watching movies, playing volleyball, and kayaking. My obsessions include Coldplay, Gouda cheese, and my Australian Silky Terrier, Toto.

Val Toukatly, Art Intern

Though originally from upstate New York, I am currently living and working in Beverly, Massachusetts. I'm in my final semester at Montserrat College of Art where I am making my graduation film, a stop-motion short about childhood. I approached FableVision about an internship because I love kids and am pursuing a career where I can entertain and educate through art. When I'm not working or studying, I can be found playing with my guinea pigs and geckos, watching really terrible B-movies, or obsessing over Nintendo games with my boyfriend.

I also have a website, the appropriately titled ValToukatly.com!
